Holy Saturday

  /   Saturday April 19, 2003

Now, we come to the last day in the Easter Triduum. It is Holy Saturday. Jesus is in the tomb, and we wait. At least on Good Friday a Passion service was held. The only people who are getting anything other than Reconciliation or Annointing of the Sick are those who receive the Eucharist as Viaticum.

Yet, we know how the story ends. When night falls, we will celebrate a joyous Easter Vigil. We know that Jesus has risen from the dead and is alive today, not just in our hearts but really and trully.
